Social collaboration plays a strong role and each child is a valued member of the team whose ideas and questions are important.

Every child knows that although we are all different, we respect each other's processes and opinions and get along as a community.

Children are encouraged to use language to investigate and explore and to reflect on their experiences. They are listened to with respect, which reinforces that their questions and observations are an opportunity to learn and search together. It is a process: a continual, collaborative process. Rather than the child asking a question and the adult offering the answers, the search is undertaken together.

“Our task, regarding creativity, is to help children climb their own mountains as high as possible. No one can do more’ - Loris Malaguzzi - The hundred languages of children
